Welcome to Forest Remedy experience: more than guided walks through nature, Forest Therapy is an experiential process of encountering your senses through the healing properties of a forest. Forest Remedy promotes a natural immersion for relaxation and well-being.
Becoming a Forest Therapy Practitioner helped me gain an understanding of the mindfulness perspective while in nature. To get that mental state, Forest Therapy participants are guided to slowly connect their bodies, senses, and minds to nature.

In an age of electronic connections, it is easy to feel isolated.
Feel frustration you can’t name? An ache you can’t describe?
My advice? Slow down and take a walk.

Connecting with nature improves your perspective on life. Immersing yourself in a natural setting for a period of time helps you calm your thoughts and regain a sense of balance. When surrounded by nature, you can reconnect to the part of you that experiences wonder.

Shinrin-Yoku in Japanese translates to English as: Takes the atmosphere of the forest. Taking the atmosphere came to be called “forest bathing.” Forest Bathing led to a defined practice called Forest Therapy which has developed into a curriculum used by many countries.
What is Forest Bathing?
Forest Bathing is a mindfulness practice that invites the opening of senses in natural setting. The unhurried walks through the forest are guided by a Forest Therapy practitioner who invites participants to engage their five senses, “bathing” in the forest.
What is Forest Remedy?
As a certified Forest Therapy Practitioner, I want to make Forest Therapy accessible for those who want to reconnect to nature through mindfulness. Growing up in East Texas, I spent a lot of time hunting and fishing: I’ve traded my shotgun, fishing rod and reel for a camera and peace of mind. My experiences tromping around the woods and my Forest Therapy skills offer a unique perspective to mindfulness in nature – I invite you to share this experience with me.
